About Dona A. Durham
Dr. Dona Durham is an Orton-Gillingham and Social Thinking trained educator, with a PhD in Special Education and Teaching & Administrative Certification in New Mexico, Maine and Virginia. She has over twenty years of experience working with a diverse group of learners, from pre-school to graduate ages, with a specialty in mentoring elementary and middle school students. Dona has extensive experience in schools with students, teachers, related service support staff, and with parents.
Dona helped us find the resources our son needed to help him succeed at school. She was able to identify his specific challenges and recommend the appropriate interventions. He has gone from disliking school to saying that his favorite subject is reading. Without her help our son could have struggled for years without the knowledge that something was holding him back. He now feels confident in school and has tools to help him manage challenging situations.
